Favorite Omaha Pictures

We got home from our Omaha trip Sunday evening and had a really good time. John got there Thursday evening for some Maids dinners/meetings. The kids and I arrived Friday around 5:00. We got a pizza delivered, enjoyed cable TV, and swam. Then on Saturday we went to John's Aunt and Uncle's new cabin on the river and played wally ball. We had a BBQ and got to meet some new baby cousins too. Then we hung our with Great-grandma Steiner for some bubble fun. We ended the evening with Subway, more cable TV, and more swimming. John joined us on Sunday for the huge hotel breakfast and then we went to the Omaha river walk. We found a fun fast slide and then walked across the new pedestrian bridge. It was a great mini-get-away. I think we are all refreshed to finish up the school year and enjoy this beautiful weather. Here are a few of our favorite pictures...

Merry Christmas from our crew to yours! We are thankful for 2024 and all that it brought to our family. God has been gracious and merciful to us as we hope to glorify Him with our lives and figure out our next season of life. We had more ups than downs this year and are excited to see what unfolds in 2025. John and Deanna celebrated 26 years of marriage this year and were able to celebrate with an anniversary trip through four National Parks in CA and NV. It was an amazing trip and of course urges us to travel more this coming year while we are healthy enough to hike and have more time on our hands in this short season. Other family highlights of 2024 included seeing the Total Eclipse, watching the Chiefs win another Superbowl, and spending time together all six of us at home or on vacations together a few times this year.  John spent the last year continuing to volunteer with Partners Worldwide, his business mentor group, and our church, Bethel Baptist Church. The peer pressure of the internet

So I have been invited about 5 times to join Facebook this past year and it seems lately most of my adult friends are joining. I have been afraid to join, not because of the crazy psychos out there, but because I know the time I would lose once I joined. I keep going back and forth and am driving John crazy using his account all the time to email friends I haven't talked to for awhile. He keeps telling me to get my own account. He joined last year because his youth Sunday School Class was all on there and it was better for them to discuss and email through Facebook . He is just now using it to re-connect with other people or talk back and forth with KC friends here (he no longer teaches the youth at church). When my friend Sara joined she said her inbox was full of friend requests and how crazy it was to get requests from people she never really talked to back in high school. Is it rude to just decline those people or is the "cool" thing to just have a bunch of friend...
