Our adorable BIG Johnny

Jonathan went right down last night in his big boy bed! I must admit that it was a little of an abnormal night though. The two older boys were at Grandma Sues having a sleep over and John and Ashlyn had a date night to see Pink Panther 2. So mom got to snuggle with him a little alone, which made him pretty sleepy when I laid him down. I heard he woke up very happy (I was at a baby shower and missed it). Tonight, he fell asleep with dad reading, so he just went into the bed asleep. We'll see how the first really awake night goes. So far this has been cake!

(oh, I did manage to finish painting the kitchen last night once he went to sleep and I had the house to myself. I even found a huge steal at Gordman's today for some new Art work on the wall. We are going from family black and white collage pictures to an oil painting of an Italian street. I'll take some pics and post them on Monday)

He's darling!!!!!!! Josie did great too in her toddler bed, she never got out - Josiah I think will be a different story and I'm going to hold off as long as I can!

Merry Christmas from our crew to yours! We are thankful for 2024 and all that it brought to our family. God has been gracious and merciful to us as we hope to glorify Him with our lives and figure out our next season of life. We had more ups than downs this year and are excited to see what unfolds in 2025. John and Deanna celebrated 26 years of marriage this year and were able to celebrate with an anniversary trip through four National Parks in CA and NV. It was an amazing trip and of course urges us to travel more this coming year while we are healthy enough to hike and have more time on our hands in this short season. The peer pressure of the internet

So I have been invited about 5 times to join Facebook this past year and it seems lately most of my adult friends are joining. I have been afraid to join, not because of the crazy psychos out there, but because I know the time I would lose once I joined. I keep going back and forth and am driving John crazy using his account all the time to email friends I haven't talked to for awhile. He keeps telling me to get my own account. He joined last year because his youth Sunday School Class was all on there and it was better for them to discuss and email through Facebook . He is just now using it to re-connect with other people or talk back and forth with KC friends here (he no longer teaches the youth at church). When my friend Sara joined she said her inbox was full of friend requests and how crazy it was to get requests from people she never really talked to back in high school. Is it rude to just decline those people or is the "cool" thing to just have a bunch of friend...
