World's of Fun
This past Thursday, our family took a small family vacation here in KC. We don't normally go to the theme park that is not too far from our house, mainly because of the price, but also because it gets so busy in the summer. Well a couple years ago our family too the kids for the first time (minus Jonathan who was 2 at the time) on a Tuesday (a home school FCA day) while the public schools were still in session. It was wonderful! We could ride the rides over and over, there were no lines, and the summer humidity had not hit yet! So we thought we would try it again this year, with Jonathan and allow Caleb to take a Kindergarten ditch day.
It was great! The lines were not as great as before only because the KS schools had gotten out already, but we still beat all of the MO side. The weather was perfect and everyone really enjoyed themselves. Jonathan LOVED planet snoopy and still rode many family rides too. He loves to spin and go fast. It's kinda funny to watch him. He is fearless. Caleb enjoyed most of the bigger rides and was finally 48". So he was able to ride just about everything he wanted. He got afraid on the Mamba and didn't end up riding it. That is a really tall roller coaster there. Joshua rode it and although when he first got off said he wouldn't ride it again, he LOVED it. He also rode the Boomerang (an upside down coaster), the Detonator a few times, a couple other coasters, and everything else we all rode. He loved it all.
Ashlyn in still the most fearless. She was tall enough this time for the Patriot coaster where your feet dangle and you go upside down multiple times. They rode that a few times. She LOVES the Mamba the best and just gets on anything, loves it, and then moves on to the next ride. She gets that from her father's side! My favorite is still the octopus and water rides. We hope to all go back in October when some family will be visiting from AZ. Caleb is pondering the Mamba until then. Jonathan hopes he grows 6 more inches so he can go on the Mamba and the Prowler coasters with Joshua and Ashlyn! For now, here are a few pictures from John's camera....
