Garage Sale Update

Wow, what an exciting weekend! As I have mentioned before, we were given a few truck loads of stuff from a church family who is moving for a garage sale fundraiser for my mission trip this past week. So Sue and I spent the last week organizing, pricing, and preparing for the sale that happened this Friday from 8-4 and Saturday from 8-noon. We were also given some donations from a few other friends to add to the sale. When Thursday night rolled around, we were amazed at how full her 3 car garage was. We knew the weather forecast was in our favor, and knew of a couple neighborhood garage sales in Liberty that weekend. We prayed for about $200 from the sale. Praise God for the outcome!! We made about $650 in this short time and only had about 6 small boxes of stuff left when we closed. We can't be more excited for His goodness and blessing on the sale. Thanks to the Chen's, Lora W, Eric P, the McKinzies, the Mallory's, Bernice N, and of course, Sue, for all their stuff, time, and gracious hearts for this mission trip. Thanks to Allison, Leah and the Juergens for stopping by to shop! I also got my application this past Wed and my Passport on Thurs so things are moving along quickly for the trip. I have 4 or 5 small jobs I am going to be working on in Oct and Nov too! Praise God! I will keep you updated on the trip as I know them....
