God's Provisions

We have seen God work through so many people and circumstances these past couple months.  We thought we would share a few moments of these provisions...

  • We enjoyed a free trip to Jackson Hole and Yellowstone thanks to The Maids International
  • We were able to find John's missing wedding ring in our backyard because a couple from church lent us their metal detector
  • We were given a beautiful sleeper sectional couch from dear friends who we helped move one weekend.  We love it!
  • Our neighbors that live directly behind us installed a new fence, which I was just going to replace because of many holes and broken boards
  • We were able to adopt a beautiful black lab from a couple on Craigslist who couldn't take her with them on a move.  We love her and she is the perfect fit to our family!
  • We had a Maids van stolen from our parking lot this past weekend and we were able to get it back with very little damage.  So we are very thankful for that!
  • We were given a free futon bunk bed for the boys and Caleb was so excited!  The bottom bunk is a full size bed that folds up to a couch.  He is trying to make his room more like a dorm so this fit perfectly.  This was given to us from a family at church too.
  • John's grandma fell while we were out of town and the doctors were able to find a heart problem when she was getting checked out.  Without the pace maker she received because of the fall, she might have died.
  • The boys are enjoying summer school so much and are excited to ear $100 for attending the month of June.  We are thankful for the grant that made that possible.
  • SO many other things we have seen, but these were a few of the top ones!

Merry Christmas from our crew to yours! We are thankful for 2024 and all that it brought to our family. God has been gracious and merciful to us as we hope to glorify Him with our lives and figure out our next season of life. We had more ups than downs this year and are excited to see what unfolds in 2025. John and Deanna celebrated 26 years of marriage this year and were able to celebrate with an anniversary trip through four National Parks in CA and NV. It was an amazing trip and of course urges us to travel more this coming year while we are healthy enough to hike and have more time on our hands in this short season. The peer pressure of the internet

So I have been invited about 5 times to join Facebook this past year and it seems lately most of my adult friends are joining. I have been afraid to join, not because of the crazy psychos out there, but because I know the time I would lose once I joined. I keep going back and forth and am driving John crazy using his account all the time to email friends I haven't talked to for awhile. He keeps telling me to get my own account. He joined last year because his youth Sunday School Class was all on there and it was better for them to discuss and email through Facebook . He is just now using it to re-connect with other people or talk back and forth with KC friends here (he no longer teaches the youth at church). When my friend Sara joined she said her inbox was full of friend requests and how crazy it was to get requests from people she never really talked to back in high school. Is it rude to just decline those people or is the "cool" thing to just have a bunch of friend...
