Thankful Tree

We decided to try out a Thankful Tree this fall in our dining room.  We began in Oct and will go through Thanksgiving when we get out our Christmas tree.  I brought a piece of a tree down the street in and stuck it in a tall vase container that goes there normally. Then I bought a couple packages of foam leaves from Dollar General, cut some out of paper and bought some cloths pins.  Sometimes at dinner, we have the kids write down something they are thankful for on a leaf and pin it on the tree.  It's fun to hear the things they are most thankful for each week.  I'll post a picture of the tree when it is full of leaves in Nov.
