Halloween in Coves 2012

Our crew enjoyed Halloween yesterday with the Chally's. They had some pretty cute costumes.  Altogether, we had a french artist, Indiana Jones, a Mad Scientist, an adorable lion, Mario, Air Force guy, Red Power Ranger, and a nurse. We began the night with our traditional Chipolte dinner (John and I dressed up too for a $2 meal) and then we headed out to trick or treat in our neighborhood. We missed Grandma Sue and Grandpa Gary who usually join us, but were able to see them for a few minutes before dinner. Here are a few pics of the fun...the last picture is our loot we ended the night with! Enough candy for movie nights through the rest of the school year.

What a fun night! I didn't no you could get a 2 dollar meal for dressing up! I am so doing that next year. We love Chipolte.

It used to be free Anne :( Every year it is a little different. We all ate for $12 (no tax)...had left overs for today. The line only took about 25 minutes too.

Merry Christmas from our crew to yours! We are thankful for 2024 and all that it brought to our family. God has been gracious and merciful to us as we hope to glorify Him with our lives and figure out our next season of life. We had more ups than downs this year and are excited to see what unfolds in 2025. John and Deanna celebrated 26 years of marriage this year and were able to celebrate with an anniversary trip through four National Parks in CA and NV. It was an amazing trip and of course urges us to travel more this coming year while we are healthy enough to hike and have more time on our hands in this short season. The peer pressure of the internet

So I have been invited about 5 times to join Facebook this past year and it seems lately most of my adult friends are joining. I have been afraid to join, not because of the crazy psychos out there, but because I know the time I would lose once I joined. I keep going back and forth and am driving John crazy using his account all the time to email friends I haven't talked to for awhile. He keeps telling me to get my own account. He joined last year because his youth Sunday School Class was all on there and it was better for them to discuss and email through Facebook . He is just now using it to re-connect with other people or talk back and forth with KC friends here (he no longer teaches the youth at church). When my friend Sara joined she said her inbox was full of friend requests and how crazy it was to get requests from people she never really talked to back in high school. Is it rude to just decline those people or is the "cool" thing to just have a bunch of friend...
