Drop n' Date

Our church has a wonderful ministry called "Drop n' Date" that happens once a quarter.  Basically our kids get to hang out with all their friends in a structured environment, enjoy free pizza, a craft, a movie, and some kind of game, while John and I go out on the town for four hours.  It's wonderful.  This time was a special Drop, Shop n' Date, but since we don't have any gift ideas yet for our kids, we enjoyed dinner on the Plaza.  We ate at our new favorite, special place (we went there for our anniversary too) called Fogo De Chao.  It's Brazilian food and the best customer service you will ever receive at a restaurant.  We walked around the Plaza a little, enjoyed Sheridan's for dessert and started a Blockbuster movie.  Then we picked the kids up.  It was a relaxing and much needed date night.  We can't wait for the next one!

Fogo is our new favorite place as well! If you go around Mother's Day and Father's Day, they will give you a gift card for a free meal! You are right, we second that it is THE BEST customer service we have ever gotten at a restarant as well. :) We went the cheaper route on our Drop N Date and went to Em Chambas....doesn't combare - Fogo blows them out of the water.

We love Em Chamas! It's close enough to our house that Ashlyn can babysit and we can go there often. But, you're right. It's doesn't compare to Fogo. Way better than our normal Chili's dates though :)

LOL, YES agree there! We love it too especially when you get there before 6pm and you get the meal for $19.99 a piece, but we like Fogo better :).

Merry Christmas from our crew to yours! We are thankful for 2024 and all that it brought to our family. God has been gracious and merciful to us as we hope to glorify Him with our lives and figure out our next season of life. John and Deanna celebrated 26 years of marriage this year and were able to celebrate with an anniversary trip through four National Parks in CA and NV. The peer pressure of the internet

So I have been invited about 5 times to join Facebook this past year and it seems lately most of my adult friends are joining. I have been afraid to join, not because of the crazy psychos out there, but because I know the time I would lose once I joined. I keep going back and forth and am driving John crazy using his account all the time to email friends I haven't talked to for awhile. He keeps telling me to get my own account. He joined last year because his youth Sunday School Class was all on there and it was better for them to discuss and email through Facebook . He is just now using it to re-connect with other people or talk back and forth with KC friends here (he no longer teaches the youth at church). When my friend Sara joined she said her inbox was full of friend requests and how crazy it was to get requests from people she never really talked to back in high school. Is it rude to just decline those people or is the "cool" thing to just have a bunch of friend...
