Morning relaxation

Yesterday was Caleb's official first day of Spring Break, but FCA still had school. So after John, Ashlyn, and Joshua left for school, we slept in and made breakfast together. The boys helped make a homemade coffee cake and I let them do all the measuring, mixing, and stirring. They had a great time together. Once we ate, we ran some errands together and ate out for lunch. Micki LOVES to cook. I've need to watch it, however. There have been a few "special" occassions in which I have awakened to find her cooking something on her own. She knows about the ingredient list and knows things need to be measured, but she doesn't quite know her measurements nor does she understand following the directions. For Micki, all indgredients go into the bowl together at the beginning. Actually, it usually works out OK.
