Birthday surprises

Yesterday was my 32nd birthday along with Jonathan's 3rd. The nice thing about sharing our birthdays is that the focus really goes to him all day. As I continue to reach 40 and then 50, this will be such a perk for me. This year, it seemed I got few more presents than I normally do - I am not sure why, but it was a lot of fun. I also had already gotten my awesome new cedar trunk and a few different cards in the mail with money in them, which were all great surprises!

The day began with breakfast in bed. Then John let me go garage sale-n for a while to look for some presents/things I have been looking for...we all went to Red Robin for some lunch (and 2 free meals for Jonathan and I). Then my friend Lisa and I got ready together for an 80s party we planned for my friend Lori who turned 30 this week. We went to a dinner/movie theatre and coffee house in our 80s attire. It was an amazing day!
Surprise Roses from John this year

Flowers delivered from CO from my sister and her family

An amazing homemade duck tape purse from my crafty friend Andrea
(This is a no sew purse we made awhile ago with her at our Christmas Club -
only made out of staples and duck tape, this one is way better than the one I made)

Ledge shelves from my best friend Lisa and 2 frames from my mom to go on them

A paper trimmer from my scrap booking friend Lisa who knew I REALLY needed one of these while I attempt to catch up on my books

More wall art for my newly decorated kitchen

A tray for my family room for my coffee table
(my decorating friends told me to get one of these!)
