I'm officially from Colorado!

After living in Colorado for 21 years, I finally own an SUV (too bad there are no mountains in MO to go four wheeling!) We are excited to be going from a mini-van to what feels like a little bigger car inside (seats 8 instead of 7). Although the gas mileage will be an adjustment, I am really excited to have something "new" and something I had been wanting since before Jonathan came. We plan to still use John's work min-van for our weekend driving to save a little money. We hope to sell my mini-van next, and yes, on the same place we found this one - Craigslist! Introducing our new 2000 Dodge Durango...

nice! my little brother has this same car and he really likes it. i have driven it some and i think it is pretty nice! I do have to say though, we took that car to texas two weeks ago (four adults and one baby). i had to ride in the alst row of seats cause the car seat wouldnt fit on the narrow bench seat. do your car seats fit??

Yes, the two toddler car seats fit great in the middle row and the 2 booster seats fit in the back row. Ahlyn will get out of her booster in October too so we will be down to 3 in seats! It is so much nicer than my current mini-van and I feel a couple years younger :)

Merry Christmas from our crew to yours! We are thankful for 2024 and all that it brought to our family. God has been gracious and merciful to us as we hope to glorify Him with our lives and figure out our next season of life. We had more ups than downs this year and are excited to see what unfolds in 2025. John and Deanna celebrated 26 years of marriage this year and were able to celebrate with an anniversary trip through four National Parks in CA and NV. It was an amazing trip and of course urges us to travel more this coming year while we are healthy enough to hike and have more time on our hands in this short season. The peer pressure of the internet

So I have been invited about 5 times to join Facebook this past year and it seems lately most of my adult friends are joining. I have been afraid to join, not because of the crazy psychos out there, but because I know the time I would lose once I joined. I keep going back and forth and am driving John crazy using his account all the time to email friends I haven't talked to for awhile. He keeps telling me to get my own account. He joined last year because his youth Sunday School Class was all on there and it was better for them to discuss and email through Facebook . He is just now using it to re-connect with other people or talk back and forth with KC friends here (he no longer teaches the youth at church). When my friend Sara joined she said her inbox was full of friend requests and how crazy it was to get requests from people she never really talked to back in high school. Is it rude to just decline those people or is the "cool" thing to just have a bunch of friend...
