Fall School Plans

It's official.  We have finally made our decision about school for each of our children next year.  We are excited about the new change and are anticipating what life with 3 different school schedules will be like:

Jonathan will be a full-time Kindergartener in the Park Hill School District (where Caleb attended for K). He will transfer into FCA in 2013 as a first grader. He is excited about his new school and the bus he might ride sometimes.

Caleb will be in 2nd grade at FCA next year attending MWF. He will continue to be home with me on Tues/Thurs where I am sure we will spend hours and hours enjoying second grade together.  We are most excited about his new teacher who will be moving from Colorado with much classical school experience.

Joshua will be in 3rd at FCA and will also attend MWF.  His class continues to be big enough for 2 classes so we are eagerly waiting to see which home room teacher he will be assigned as well as which good friends will be in his class this year.  We noticed there are two more Joshua H's in 3rd grade next year.  Should be fun to keep those papers separated.

Ashlyn and I will begin our new journey together at home.  We have been planning out our curriculum all morning and are so excited about some changes to the FCA curriculum a little we will try to follow.  She will be home for 6th grade and will most likely attend FCA in 7th (unless we just love homeschooling).  We are talking about doing volleyball with FCA in the fall, which would help her stay connected with a few of her friends this next year.  I look forward to this year with her and have some special mother/daughter plans in the works.  More to come...

Wow, we will have a public schooler, 2 private schoolers, and a homeschooler.  What a schedule mess. We have been buying FCA curriculum, organizing uniforms, and printing supplies lists too.  What a busy last month of summer it will be.

Thanks Betsy! I am excited, but nervous too. I want to be as scheduled as possible with her and have started some lesson plans. I'll probably call you soon with some questions.
