The beginning of our break

  • Got together with some friends and exchanged gifts and had dinner
  • Played the fun new game we got from our friends
  • Skyped with Carol, Rylee, and Sue a couple times for a long time (it was really a fun time!)
  • Slept in Saturday, stayed in our pjs and watched movies while John finished preparing for his Sunday School lesson
  • Enjoyed our Christmas sermon and then our Christmas fellowship at church
  • Baked some sugar cookies
  • Made about 4 HUGE forts, tents, and beds and played a LONG time in them
  • Cleaned up the house for about 2 hours (mostly putting away tent, fort, and house items) and got caught up on laundry
  • Made Peanut Butter Chocolate Balls (my first experience with Parafin wax - it was interesting and only took 2 trys...)
  • Made some Peanut clusters and started making another huge fort (stopped in the middle by a frazzled mom)
  • Changed all the twin sheets just for fun - not sure why the kids really enjoyed doing this!
  • Organized all the presents under the tree for different gift exchanges
  • Started taping to paint the brown stripe on my bedroom ceiling
  • Watched Night at the Museum 2 together after a dinner out with John
  • Worked a little bit on some web page projects while the kids played Hide-n-seek (Jonathan is actually very good at this game and loves to count - he can actually do it too!)
We are looking forward to a little more baking and maybe a couple Christmas movies...the best news...some snow is coming this week!

how fun!!! and john did a wonderful job teaching sunday school! my kids LOVE LOVE LOVE making forts and tents for their "camp outs" they have but for some reason, they always end up arguing over how to make it. sibling rivalry runs high in the dull house. and josiah is really good at counting when they play hide and seek too - he can get to 10 now (minus the #9 though, he always forgets that one!).

what a fun time you're having deanna - i love reading your blog!!!

Lori-that's the first thing John said. "This is the game Lori and Aaron told us about - now we can get together and play!" Should be fun!
