Overstock Kitchen Makeover

John really enjoys cooking and is a wonderful cook! His dream kitchen would include a huge gas stove and cast iron. So yesterday, we met at Overstock for his lunch and obtained half of his dream...
An awesome cast iron set for only $90. The best news for me (the one who inspires to enjoy new recipes, whole spices and try gourmet marinades like him) is we found red to match the kitchen!
We also picked up an 18-piece stainless steel set, which is something he had been looking for at many stores, including Branson outlets this past weekend. This set was only $50 (retails for $150). We LOVE Overstock!
Bonus: We got rid of about 3/4 of our current scratched, bent and un-used pans, pots, and skillets.
And Jonathan wanted to have his picture taken while I was re-organizing all this fun stuff! Now I have to go take some chicken out for dinner so we can try this stuff out!

awesome! i have a cast iron dutch oven that I LOVE! i may need to check that place out again. hey, is that a pamp. chef steamer i see in that give away box??? if you still have it, i'll take it....I LOVE MINE and i melted the bottom on a hot burner. nice, huh! awesome stuff you got!!!

I would love to have a new set of pots and pans, too! I love the red. I don't think we have Overstock here though. Hmm. . . I may have to look around.

Merry Christmas from our crew to yours! We are thankful for 2024 and all that it brought to our family. God has been gracious and merciful to us as we hope to glorify Him with our lives and figure out our next season of life. We had more ups than downs this year and are excited to see what unfolds in 2025. John and Deanna celebrated 26 years of marriage this year and were able to celebrate with an anniversary trip through four National Parks in CA and NV. It was an amazing trip and of course urges us to travel more this coming year while we are healthy enough to hike and have more time on our hands in this short season. The peer pressure of the internet

So I have been invited about 5 times to join Facebook this past year and it seems lately most of my adult friends are joining. I have been afraid to join, not because of the crazy psychos out there, but because I know the time I would lose once I joined. I keep going back and forth and am driving John crazy using his account all the time to email friends I haven't talked to for awhile. He keeps telling me to get my own account. He joined last year because his youth Sunday School Class was all on there and it was better for them to discuss and email through Facebook . He is just now using it to re-connect with other people or talk back and forth with KC friends here (he no longer teaches the youth at church). When my friend Sara joined she said her inbox was full of friend requests and how crazy it was to get requests from people she never really talked to back in high school. Is it rude to just decline those people or is the "cool" thing to just have a bunch of friend...
