Mother Son Field Day

Caleb and I were able to participate in the Park Hill Mother Son Field Day. It was so much fun! We got matching shirts that said Mother and Son on the back. Yesterday, I worked at FCA's field day so I got to see Ashlyn and Joshua participate in theirs too, so I had field days in a row. Caleb and I got to participate in the potato sack relay, the water balloon toss, the 3 legged race, 100 yard dash hula hoop style, tug a war, and the water bucket relay. We won our heat of the potato sack relay and really enjoyed all the races. We ate lunch too and were able to hang out with a couple moms/sons we both enjoy. Merry Christmas from our crew to yours! We are thankful for 2024 and all that it brought to our family. God has been gracious and merciful to us as we hope to glorify Him with our lives and figure out our next season of life. We had more ups than downs this year and are excited to see what unfolds in 2025. John and Deanna celebrated 26 years of marriage this year and were able to celebrate with an anniversary trip through four National Parks in CA and NV. It was an amazing trip and of course urges us to travel more this coming year while we are healthy enough to hike and have more time on our hands in this short season. Other family highlights of 2024 included seeing the Total Eclipse, watching the Chiefs win another Superbowl, and spending time together all six of us at home or on vacations together a few times this year.  John spent the last year continuing to volunteer with Partners Worldwide, his business mentor group, and our church, Bethel Baptist Church. Our 2023 Christmas Letter

  Merry Christmas from our crew to yours! We are in disbelief that another year has come and gone and continue to be grateful for all we have today. 2023 was a year of growth, graduations, change, and loss. John and Deanna inch closer to being empty nesters and can't belief they have 3 ADULT children now! Our lives as parents have seen a shift more this year as our oldest kid moved across the the country and the thought of the next season of our life is pretty exciting. We celebrated 25 years of marriage in August and hope to take an international trip at the beginning of 2024 to celebrate. We were able to take a few trips this year together along with a few trips with different kids. These adventures continue to be a favorite part of each year and the memories made have been incredible. Deanna and Joshua took a trip to Utah this summer before he went back to college and saw multiple National Parks.
