Half way done with the trip. We can't wait to hear all about it when he gets home...off to St. Louis tomorrow for a mini-Spring Break adventure of our own.

a paraphrase of our conversation yesterday: Joshua: Can we get Little Mermaid 3 from the library today? Mom: Oh, Joshua, that isn't available at the library yet because it is so new. Remember we got that one from the Red Box when it came out a couple weeks ago. Joshua: Not the Ariel's Beginning one - the one with Melody. Mom: Oh, do you mean the Little Mermaid 2 where Ariel has a daughter. Joshua: No, that is the Little Mermaid 3 because it comes last. Ashlyn : No, Joshua. Ariel's Beginning comes before Little Mermaid 1, but it is NOT Little Mermaid 1. Joshua: No, no, no. Listen. We own Little Mermaid 2 and I want to see Little Mermaid 3. Let me begin by saying that we have tried all three of the typical education systems available to us.  We have used private school, public school, and homeschooling full time. We do not have a favorite right now nor do we think one is the perfect system to use, but we have sure seen the benefits of all three. Today I wanted to write about our public school system. We are in a really good school district.  Our high school is ranked #6 in Missouri. We have been so impressed with both our elementary and middle school we have used.  One of my favorite things about Line Creek Elementary is the staff there and the opportunities for extra staff to help our children succeed.  Because of Caleb's speech disorder and delay he had from age 2 to 6, we knew that he would need some special education classes in elementary school.  We have to report that Park Hill has done an AMAZING job in this area!!
